figure out the fishing rules and regs for a whole other country. Jim

I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim

You should be proud Jim. That's a great way to start off your life as an adult.

It brings to minds the little red headed boy, youngest son of one of my very good friends. Who is now about 6'6" and within 18 months of having 20 years in the USAF at the age of 38. Having learned a good trade to make a good life in the civilian world if he chooses to leave the Air Force.

    Hey Jim,
Congratulations to both of you. Your post demonstrates the PRIDE you have in your family.

You sound proud and should. Tell him thanks for his service.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.
