I got an e-mail a few minute ago purporting to be from AOL Mail. It contained three different links including the first one to the AOL message center. Running the cursor over the links showed that they all went to the same address which was not AOL. I was alerted quickly because I don't have AOL mail or Aim. If you do be watching for this one.

I highly recommend a program called Mailwasher. there's a free version if you are only using it on one e-address, but the Pro version is well worth the money. It checks your e-mail and allows you to preview it while it is still on your ISP's server. It sorts our known spam and, over time, learns who your friends and blacklisted senders are. You just look at a list of what is in your e-mail, check off the stuff you want deleted, and then press the wash button. It then deletes all the bad stuff and opens your mail program so you can download the mail you wanted.
