Good points in this week's column.

Another pointer, ... Up here, we sight fish. So you KNOW where the fish is holed up.

Unfortunately, the pool is often a lot more deep than the angler realzes. They'll cast to the right angle (slightly UPSTREAM of the fish. BUT, ... they don't realize that the fish is actually 5-8 feet FARTHER away than appears.

The dry will "appear" to be drifting over the nose of the fish, when it is actually 3,4, 5 feet or more short.

(something to do with the refraction of the water/air and paralax viewing)
