    That's a real bummer. I've always enjoyed his programs. He was informative and carefree at the same time.

    Thats a shame. He always seemed to to be one of the more genuine hosts. I just watched his show last weekend and commented to my wife how he was aging/maturing after all these years on the show. I don't know him personally....but I think we lost a good one.

    Thankfully, Jose didn't interject so much of the high drama I see on so many fishing shows these days. I have enough "excitement" in my work life. I fish to relax.

    I'll miss the Spanish Fly! Peace and blessings to Jose and family.

    One of the very few fishermen I can honestly say I was jealous of just for his sprit tword life. I will miss his presents on this side.

    Spanish Fly has a Tribute show this weekend. It is on the Outdoor Channel at 8 or 9 AM Sunday in my time zone.
