    Default A hint

To prevent the caps from sticking on bottles of head cement etc. I have for years used CHAP STICK. Most folks will have this around the house and a mere thin film, wiped on a clean bottle rim will do the job.
However, don't mess with screw top caps on Crazy Glue. They have their own way of sealing with their cap design that works. The most common problem I've had with Crazy Glue is shelf life when purchased from shops with low turnover rates. The manufacturers never print any date code info on the bottles.

I use the really nice looking heavy aluminum dispenser made by Dyna King for head cement. Works beautifully.

Years ago I turned a couple of membes on to the DK cement reservior with mixed results. Many had issues with the glue drying out and endig up with an expensive paper weight.

Ray, thanks for the chap stick trick. I'll have to give that a try.

Mine works fine. Doesn't dry out. The needle top has to be "snapped" into place to close off the air.

To this day (approx 8-9 years now) my DK cement res works fine for me. It was a gift from my sister for xmas.

    Ray,

I gave the Chap Stick a go with the head cement vessels I use. I was using Vaseline, but Chap Stick is a lot cleaner. Thanks again for the tip.
