I used a Boudreaux yesterday. The bluegills LOVED it! Then an incredibly skillful backcast managed to loop around a lightpole on the other side of the walking path behind me, and the hook caught the line about 11' up the pole. Had to break the line, and I couldn't find where the fly went. I was bummed, not to mention embarrassed.
Some other patterns I tried caught fish, but not as well as the Boudreaux. Great fly!
