    Default What Gauge Copper Wire

Today I was at Joann's and they have all sorts of interesting colors of copper wire. The smallest they had at the store I was at is 26 Gauge. Mainly I will be using this wire for Brassies and it seems to work fine on #14 flies and up. What is the proper gauge wire to be using for Brassies?
Well, I ain't always right but I've never been wrong..

32 gauge is equivalent to UTC's "Brassie" size; check this thread out:

What thickness you need depends on what size Brassie you tie.
