World War II WAC veteran Artimus Bolnik, at age 98, cheerfully noted "This was also a learning experience for me. Despite what you sometimes read about youth, the Woodland High School students were polite and interested in hearing from us. I also learned about some of the new terms youngsters use and what are the latest styles, although I'm pretty sure I will try neither."

We hear about the horrible kids while the majority live quiet lives, are basically well behaved and will mostly grow up into solid citizens. Almost two weeks ago I helped 7 or 8 kids wash 18 cars. We have a new ministry at our church to help needy families by servicing their cars and washing them. They worked their tails off and did a great job. One pickup was so dirty it had to be washed twice to get down to paint. A little 14 year old girl vacuumed every one, most people would probably think she was a spoiled brat, her dad sold his first company that manufactured heads up displays for the military when he was in his 40's.

If anybody suspects that we have stopped producing impressive young men and women, they should spend some time with those currently serving and our recent vets. It will make you proud!
