I made it down to the Cohocton on Friday and did excellent. I guess it doesn't hurt that it was just stocked. I hooked one big, bruiser in the special reg section and then employed my favorite quick release tactic of letting the fly line wrap around the reel...SNAP! Man, that hurts.
I found the stocking truck over at the fishermans park in Avoca and stopped. I spoke with Ray, and a gentleman by the name of Dick Tucker, from Canandaigua. I asked him if he knew you but he said he didn't. I ended up hanging out with him for a couple hours, while he showed me some access points that I had never fished. Sorry we never hooked up. Great job on the stocking.
