Fishers were great rods. I have owned 5 or 6 over the years, and currently still have 2 Originals: 8' 4wt 4pc and 9' 4/5wt 4pc. I really enjoy these 2.
I did have a 9' 5/6wt 4pc GT-40, and also had a GT-40 combo rod (9' 5/6wt 4pc and 8'6" 3/4wt 4pc) for awhile. They were well made rods, but I really didn't care for them nearly as much as my Originals. They were more of a moderate fast to medium fast (while the Originals are more medium or moderate actions).
Anyway, Fisher made some great rods and blanks, for themselves and other big name rod companies. Enjoy yours!
