    Default I confess

that I have always treated my time on the stream as very precious,,,

"not because I regard fishing as being so terribly important but because I suspect that so many other concerns of men are equally as unimportant and not nearly as much fun" ☞ from trout magic, by Robert Traver

    It goes by so fast.....

I was going to guess the Toulomne river near groveland based on the last photo but looking at the others not so sure unless closer to Don Pedro.

Thanks for the photos and the reminder...taking the family camping this weekend, big sur area. These are the days I will never get back if I don't use them with the boys now.

    I'd guess northern California

You didn't say how specific you had to be.

How true. I didn't have a father to take me fishing, and later my stepdad (who truly was a father to me), was not a fisherman. I learned when my boys were young and expressed an interest...an interest that quickly died but took a good hold of me. I regretted that they didn't share the passion.

Now, years later, I received a text a few days ago from my oldest son who is off in college. He said that he was watching TV and a fishing show came on and he remembered watching fishing shows with me before school when he was little, and that it made him feel nostalgic. You just never know what little things done together mean at the time.

I have no idea what the location is, though. No prize for me.
A right emblem it may be, of the uncertain things of this world; that when men have sold them selves for them, they vanish into smoke. ~ William Bradford
I finally realized that Life is a metaphor for Fly Fishing.

I am guessing Yosemite National Park
    Warren
Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.
