Default Gonna be a bad year for bugs

Went fishing on a small lake yesterday evening. Was covered with mosquitoes! Last year I barely even saw a mosquito. Bug spray going in the tackle box. Had one person say they saw a lightning bug. March 18th! Amazing. Well, just goes to show it's all one big cycle.

That means it may be a great year for fishing for big fat trout and bass. Lots of bugs, sounds good to me.

Last year was a bad year for ticks here. Maybe they will be few this year? One can only hope.

I have a couple of tubes of sun screen with bug repellant in it. Good stuff.

    Tim!!!

We've had quill gordons in the SNP for 3 full weeks - skipped the blue quills and went right to the big bugs. I'm working in C'ville now so give me a holler when you want to meet up. If you're up for a hike, the remote stuff has been especially rewarding this year. Be good, be safe and we WILL catch up this spring!!!

    Default Need to tie up

    Hi All,

I need to tie up some mosquitos! If they are going to try to bite on me, then I am thinking that maybe I can get the fish to bite on them, or at least a mosquito fly that I tie up.

I consider your post as a possible "heads up" for fishing mosquito flies!

    Regards,

    Gandolf
