Thread: Dam Tectan Premium Mono

    Default Dam Tectan Premium Mono

Can anyone tell me as to how this material works in making a leader? I have used some mono before but didn't like how it felt, way to stiff with to much memory. Any suggestions or opinions on this material? If this material isn't favored which mono product is the best?

I made some leaders up with that stuff and really liked it. ...but I didn't fish them since I gave them away...used to always have too many leaders. I believe Karel uses that brand for his fluoro leaders.

I've used Tectan for most of my furled leaders. I like it. I've also used Chrystal thread from Wal-mart. It is a thin monofilament and I don't think you will find it too stiff. I liked the leaders made from it also.

They furl up really nice, that is if I don't break them. I need to get my new set up finished so I can have a more constant pressure on my legs as I twist them. Where do you find their fluorocarbon? I really do like the mono, and it is extremely fine for sure!
