thanks for the vids Greg, its amazing, you do the same thing over and over, and then something as simple as going the other direction makes all the difference *not saying i crowd my eyes often, im quite proud to say that out of the 2-3 hundred flies ive tied i have only crowded maybe 10 times* (im not tooting my own horn, im just a fast learner)
on the wing discussion.... my opinion is the wing should be the full length of the hook eye to bend (slightly longer then the shank) your wings should be no wider then the gap from tip to shank, i usually go a little less. when i tie my wings in (depending the fly) like he says right above, "more in line with the farthest point of the hook curve".
