Thanks Scott, That looks very amber rather than yellow. I'll wait and see what the postman brings. There are two different ones coming, if they are not right then I'll give it a try.
Cheers,
A.
Alan,
They also have a lemon yellow wire, too:

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Ouch! The wire price converts to 4.37 UKP the shipping (cheapest) is 20.07 UKP. Its not available on Amazon UK. Well not in a usable size. The finest available is 24 swg. Thanks for looking but at that price it isn't going to work.
Cheers,
A.
Years ago, shortly after I moved to Georgia a friend and I attended a "seminar" for lack of a better word about trout fishing with a short session on fly tying. The gentleman leading the session on fly tying pointed out the goal of tying a fly was to make it look like an insect, small fish, etc., not someone elses fly. I think this is often forgotten in our efforts. Of course, then there are attractors which do not look like any insect or fish but do attract attention and get eaten.
Want to hear God laugh? Tell him Your plans!!!
Allan P, RW here
Nymph!? A NYMPH, you say??! You're tying nymphs!!!!!!!?? And here I've been led to believe that over the years you have evolved into strictly a dry fly fisherman of the Catskill School of fly fishers. School here being defined as a group of people held together by the same teachings, beliefs, opinions, and methods; a follower and disciple of the old school. It's almost as bad as the time I caught you with a spinning rod at one of our fish-ins on our beloved Beaverkill. Monte!.. Mike! There must be some mistake.

RW,
Teaching fly tying class. Heck, I don't use a lot of the styles and patterns taught in class. They gotta learn techniques, lol.
