Sunday I was icefishing a local reservoir. Had a good 8" of ice. Monday we had rain. Tuesday morning, I saw that one of the local public ponds was more than 50% OPEN WATER! Fly-fishing season is nearly here!!!

Feel your pain Dave. Man - if we'd have just had *one* more day of that 50 degrees and sunshine I'd have had to tried it. Skim of ice on the edges again the next day. Supposed to be 46 today but the wind is blowing 25+. I can stand a little "chuck and duck" but , maybe there'll a better day soon.
I don't care what the calendar says, February is the longest month of the year.
