Default We're not talkin Africa (Not FF)

Anticipating our trip to visit friends in Carmel California, my friend Andy sent me THIS pic of a Jaguar in his BACK YARD taken today. THis is a beautiful bayside residential area just South of the Carmel River on US 1. Mr. J. Chambers of Cisco fame is just three doors away. Who would have thought...............................???

PS: I will certainly pay a bit more attention on my morning constitutionals. Second pic illustrates his back yard similar to AFRICA

Jaguar or Ocelot? Many exotic pets in Southern California. Can't tell for sure, but it looks like about 40+ pounds. Most Jags are 80-100+ pounds. Does however look like Jaguar spots.

Wrong head and ears for a jag. Looks more like a lynx but probably not a lynx either. Could be a bobcat.

Where I come from, we call that thing a bobcat. Look at the head, nothing at all like a jaguar. Ears match a bobcat, spots match a bobcat, size is way too small (look at the wall in each picture, it is about waist-high), shape and posture match a bobcat looking at something...

Maybe a tall bobcat, a lynx would have little tufts on the ear tips, wouldn't it?

Andy's response to "Jaguar ?" is : "Jaguar" was tongue in cheek. Yes, it was a bobcat. Who were the astute
    experts?
