Default SA 4 pc 5 wt JS905 rod

Looking for a little info. Saw in a "junk" store a new, unused SA 9 ft, 4 pc 5 wt rod for $25.00 Model JS905. Been doing lots of I-net research but can't find anything specifically on this rod. I suspect it was probably part of a rod/reel combo package. From casul observation, seemed like it might be a decent rod for the money and
I never judge a bottle of wine on the sticker price. Anyone know anything about this rod?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bob in Springfield, MO
I suspect it was in one of the combos that hang on the peg at Wal-Mart. But for $25, who cares? At worst you have an emergency backup.

Many of the rods that were included in the SA combos were very nice casting if not pretty to look at. If if found one for $25, whether it be 2pc or 4pc, buy it without thinking about it.

    Isn't Google a wonderful too!

A friend started with one - although some of the reviews say it is stiff, I found it bent down to the handle. However it is a smooth caster and well finished. It probably has one less guide than better rods of the same size, and the cork is medium, not perfect, but my friend onl passed his on to another newbie last year after about 10 years of use and it was still going strong.

Just like to thank you all for your responses. Tend to agree that for $25.00, can't go wrong!
