    Roach clip is short for Cockroach clip and it's a popular hairdo among the cockroach clan! Love those tie rites.

    Roach clip is short for Cockroach clip and it's a popular for your marywanna cigerette..holds the joint so you don't burn your fingers.....(don't ask how I know this).LOL

    Thanks gang. I'd love to find that exact style, since it seems perfectly designed for the job, but these responses - Mato's in particular - provided some good ideas for potential alternatives. After looking at the description of that one, I was able to Google some more specific terms and came across a wealth of alternatives that were oh so close. If you want to get lost in Google land for a while, try using some combination of cross action, cross locking, reverse action or self closing with the words tweezer, forceps, clamps or clip. Tons of similar items out there, just none that seem to have holes in the end or swivels on them. At least I'm in the right neighborhood though now. Thanks again for all the help.
