    Default Southwest Fly Fishing

I'm curious to know what folks think of this magazine. I got a solicitation seeking me to subscribe and I'm completely unfamilar with it (far as I can tell it isn't available at my local B&N), so I'd like some input.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Scott, that mag is part of a group of mags that includes Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, and maybe 1 or 2 others, not sure. It is a must have as far as I'm concerned as the regional articles alone are specific to the subject region off the country, and very in depth with maps, access points, etc. I'm sure some of the other articles are same region to region but the region specific articles are superb and you will find yourself saving them for future reference/trip planning. That has been my experience. Even though I live in NY I buy both the Northeast and Northwest issues just because I get out to Colorado every couple years. Hope this helps and just my .02

It is the only FF magazine that I subscribe to. As wizard said, they have very good articles on specific areas within their region.

I have subscribed to Northwest Fly Fishing for several years all all for the reasons wizard pointed out. It is very informative and region specific. I find it to be one of the better ff magazines available.

I subscribe to Southwest Fly Fishing magazine. Have for several years. It is a location specific mag, good for information on flyfishing lakes and streams in your area. A little bit of fly tying is also covered but very little. Like the above post, it will be handy if your planning a trip. Hopefully I will be able to use them in the future.
