I drive 16km to my home water, there are even some waters that are closer.
You can se my usual fishing route last summer, a bit of a wading, but worth the effort.
They built a dam 1924 and the area og the water doubled in size.
Most of the northen part was grass.
It was two lakes in the old days.
Brown trout and arctic char, althoug one fishes char less and less because of decline in the stock (because of global warming).
30-50 salmons are also fished there because they go through the water up to the river to spawn.
I usually take 1 salmon a year in the lake.
