2012
Would like to:
Finnally land a Striper in the 20+ pound range
Do more smallie fishing
Catch the local white bass run (have missed it the last 3 yrs)
tie up some poppers and surface bugs
...and on a different note...Take my wife on a cruise for our 20th anniversary!
Oh yeah: My resolution this year is to NOT make any rod or reel purchases. Need to budget for tying materials and possibly a solo canoe.

2012 - Anyone who may think they can meet me for some fishing or whatever along my travels let me know and we will take a look at it.
March - Fly Show in Albany, OR
May - WA Fish-In for a week, then side trip in WA for another week.
June - Two week trip north to south on the Oregon Coast, return home through Central Oregon.
July - MT Fish-In for a week, then side trip through MT, ID and WA returning home.
Sept - ID Fish-In for a week, then side trip through WA returning home.
Also have all those projects at home to finish.

Two goals for this fishing season
1) Catch a northshore steelhead!
2) Get out bass fishing when the smallies are hitting the topwater like mad!
mine is to catch my first steelhead or Atlantic on the fly
My goals for 2012
1) Build my first rod (just started TFO TiCrX 9ft 8wt blanks)
2) Fish for coastal cutthroat
3) Fish for steelhead in WA AND OR. Just moved out this way, and want to see what these beautiful states have to offer.
4) Catch a coho salmon
5) Just get out and fish more, as I didn't get out at all in the past 4 months.
I spend a little time on the mountain, I spend a little time on the hill...
Just to get out and fly fish more

Very cold, slush in the river, ice in the guides, and a great way to kick off 2012.
The goal now is to go do it another 125-150 times before the end of the year. Except for the slush and the ice in the guides, of course.

The fish are always right.
I need to catch a Smallie on a fly. I do not have big goals, but I want to work up to bigger fish (i.e) walleye, brown trout, musky, pike and brooke trout in this order.
Every year I have a goal of catching at least 1,000 fish. I've always made that goal so far, and even managed to at least double that number in 4 of the past 6 years. Its pretty early this year, but I've already caught 493 fish.
I also like to add at least one new species to my list of fish caught on a fly rod each year. I've done that already, by catching a Yellow Bullhead last week.
