    Default fishing shows

I'm bored. I've sprained my ankle, so I'm sitting here with my foot up and there is nothing on TV. I've been watching river monsters. That got me to wondering, what fishing shows do you watch? There doesn't seem to be many fly fishing shows on but I do like fly rod chronicles. What about you?

Seasons on the Fly is about the only show thats worthwhile here. There used to be a couple of others, but they aren't aired any longer.

    Jason,

You asked for it, so, here it is:

Go to FAOL and view the FOTW archives and start tying flies for when the weather permits fishing OR

review the hundreds of Fly Tying Tips........

If you have satellite tv you most probably have the "fishing network". Fishing shows continuously.
Not all fly fishing but a goodly amount of them.
When you can arrange your affairs to go fishing, forget all the signs, homilies, advice and folklore. JUST GO.

    popperfly,

LOL - but, I do not consider fly tying to be a bunch of work plus with a bum foot he cannot afford too much excitement! : )

I may be weird, but I just don't enjoy fishing shows. I can get through most fly fishing shows (I agree that Fly Rod Chronicles is about the best), but they are all so similar. Bass shows are nearly as bad as deer hunting shows. I'd rather call up YouTube videos and learn some tricks for casting and tying. You can watch for hours and never watch something you've seen before.

    Warren, that's a great idea.
Popper, I'm not up to much excitement, wish I was.
Dave, I agree with you. At least on YouTube you can search for what you want to see.

    Seasons on the fly
LL Bean's Guide to the Outdoors is fishing & hunting. I enjoy Tim Rajeff on this one.

There is no broadcast T.V. of any kind in this household, so it's the net or not.

Here's wishing you all a healthy helping of Holiday Cheer.
