Tenkara USA will sell them if you buy 5 at a whack. I have looked high and low and have not found a source for blanks as yet other than Tenkara USA.

Think about this for a minute. About all you can customize is the handle. You could add some ferrule wraps I suppose and maybe a feather inlay above the grip. Buy a rod and rip the cork off and put what you want on it. Tenkara USA is not the only source for Tenkara rods.

Not $5 each, 5 blanks at a time. That is what they told me 6 months or so ago anyway. I have only had one request so it doesn't make sense for me to buy 5 blanks.
