I have friends that own a home in the Normandy countryside with some farmland. Normandy has brown trout in spring creeks, and, they have on on their farm. The water is slow and clear, like Silver Creek in ID, and it is hard to catch them. Surprisingly, the Germans have not bought up all of the lands with streams on them and turned them into expensive sportsmens' clubs.

I do not know about guide services there. But it does not seem to me that a half day is worth the trouble except to say that one has fished in France.
