That's from the Flyfisherman's website. A guy started a school over there and people sent him all the stuff he needed to run it.

Doesn't matter what website it came from or how many more it's posted on telling about it, it's something good that was done for the troops.

One of the unexpected bonuses of sending them gear was a Baghdad Fly Fishers cap. I'm very proud of mine!

So I try to give credit to their website and you guys go all defensive. Knickers twisted or what? Chill out... I think it was a hell of a great idea.

    Hey Folks,

IMHO a question of reading the wrong
inflection into a posting. Take a couple
of deep breaths and read the following
    site.*G* I think it's great the support
for our service men and women. Imagine
fly fishing where an M-16 is a flyfishing
    accessory.*G* [url=http://members.cox.net/flybox/BSFF.htm:f2bc1]http://members.cox.net/flybox/BSFF.htm[/url:f2bc1]
    Warm regards, Jim

For what it is worth, there was no attitude in my post. I appreciated JC acknowledging which board it was.

The real credit goes to Ed Laine, though, who posts there. He's not affilated with the ownership of the site. When the founder of the Baghdad school posted that he was starting it up, Ed contacted him to see if he could use any help, then posted asking for volunteers. A number of people jumped in, including gear manufacturers.

    Oldfrat,

Thanks for mentioning Ed on this. It was good to see the article, but I wish they had mentioned Ed. The school would not have happened without his efforts.
