Default Southern Culture on the Fly E-Mag

I thought this would be of interest particularly to the guys and girls in the southern part of the country and copied this from a local bulletin board. There is a good article that our favority Swamp Witch will appreciate explaining how there are no trout in two well known TN rivers.

Ha!! that's kind of humorous. When I lived in the SOUTH, I mean the honest to God SOUTH (southeast Alabama), the people there would consider places talked about in that mag as dam' near Yankee country... the SOUTH pretty much ended at Birmingham and Atlanta was questionable. I fly fished in the very few public waters available and had access to a very very few private ponds for bass and panfish. The locals I ran into looked at me as possibly an extraterrestrial, or more likely maybe a Frenchman or Californian. Anyone wants to experience the SOUTH, go somewhere southeast of Montgomery, not to Asheville NC.

I have only lived in Alabama a few months but spent considerable time there. To be accepted in Alabama you have to know about Paul "Bear" Byrant and how he led the Crimson Tide, talking about how there will probably never be another Joe Willie Namath (the most accepted Yankee ever to reside in Alabama) or Kenny Stabler will go along way. Even if you happen up on an Auburn fan he will respect you; he may take a shot at you but it will be with respect.
