Default Heading to Tuna Coast, Panama

I just realized my husband's grandmother lives near Pedasi, Panama. I'm leaving Friday with the family for a visit. A quick google search has me convinced I have to bring a salt water getup. I'm not sure if the kids will give me a chance to fish in a boat but I'm heading to Isla Iguana for shore fishing. Has anyone been there? What flies have you used? How did you fish them? Did you try shore fishing from Iguana island or one of the mouths of the nearby rivers? This is a family trip that I have decided to turn into fishing trip so it's a little last minute. Any help would be appreciated!

Never been there myself, but the best web forum I have found for saltwater fly fishing information is Dan Blanton's. Here is a link to an experience that he wrote about there.

Sounds like you could have a great time there. You might post your question on his forum.

That link is a wealth of information. I'm going shopping again before I leave. Thanks!
