I have a Creek Company U-boat very inexpensive a fairly light. At 250 lbs. (I'm the line coach) I didn't like how low I sat so I took a cheap square boat cushion the kind with two straps attached, I joined the straps with a split ring around the sling seat and sit on that. It's firmer than the sling seat and probably gets you up an inch or two. I also built a 9' 6wt which is a lot easier to use than my 7'6" 4wt. It gets more line out of the water when casting. A small anchor comes in handy also.
