Hickory/Denver, North Carolina Wild/Native Streams?
Are there any small streams holding wild fish near Denver, NC that I might be able to hit for a few hours? I'll be down there next weekend and thought about trying to find a nearby wild/native trout stream. Any recommendations? Need something not too far from Denver to kill a few hours...

Head west on I-40 to 181 at Moganton then head north to the hills and wild trout water as shown on the Burke County map in the link John N gave you.
You can also stop by Casters fly shop in Hickory and try for more skuttlebutt.
