Removal of the 95-year old, 125-foot Condit Dam will restore access to 33 miles of habitat for steelhead and 14 miles of habitat for chinook salmon.
Following the blast, the reservoir is expected to drain in six hours, kicking off one of the biggest dam removal and river restoration efforts our country has ever seen.

Thanks Mato. I forgot they were going to show the breach live. An amazing effort put forth by many groups over decades. Today they will see the fruits of their labor.

That was neat, to bad some worker forgot to get the extension ladders they had been using to get down into the canyon , new orange ones got washed down the river...how dumb was that...

Wonder how many fish will die because of that blast and a release of all the silt.
