I'm looking for new wading shoes. I figure $50 to $75 is plenty to spend on them. Suggestions will be appreciated. I've used the same boots for years, which are no longer produced.
Thanks,
Bruce

Bruce,
If you're looking for felt soles, you can probably get great deals from any number of places (EBay has tons) in your price range. If you're looking for rubber, maybe the LL Bean Emergers - $79.00? One issue with them is they only come in medium width, so I don't know if that will work for you (great thing about Bean is you can pretty much return anything any time). If you do go with rubber, get some studs, either something costly like Simms, or screws of some sort (those for motorcycle ice racing are supposed to be real good and don't cost a whole lot).

Scott
I have a pair of these and like them a lot. The sole is wider than normal and should add a lot to wading stability.

I haven't dealt with Sierra Trading Post in some time, but for the many years that I did, their customer service and no questions asked return policy ( on unused items ) were outstanding.

The sport is so royal that there is neither gentle nor villein, if it knew of it and loved it well, who would not be more honoured for that reason by all who understand it.
