This is another Military Rod but the first I have done for the Air Force. The recipient served 27 years and retired a full Bird Colonel.

This is a 9', 4pc, 5w AmTac Matrix blank. The reel seat and ends of the grip are Ebony. Dick Ross helped me out with the carbon fiber on the grip. The trim is aluminum and blue acrylic.

I am learning a lot about what ribbons are important to various vets and am finding it very interesting. This woman was in 3 different combat zones in her career, but those were not the awards she valued most. The awards that are displayed were earned for doing things that women were not supposed to be able to do and that many men of higher rank at the time had not been able to accomplish. Dad, also a career Air Force Officer, is quite proud of how his daughter's career turned out, and rightly so. Put this woman in a dress uniform and there would ba about 2 POUNDS of medals if not more.

On to the pics!
