After watching large catfish explode on a variety of patterns on/near the surface, I thought this might be a good pattern to try for them when they are in the shallows feeding at night. Might get a nice bass or two while I'm at it!
Unfortunately, the falling water temperatures mean I will have to wait until next summer to test this pattern on the Cats & Bass.
I've read about people using these and doing well on large trout, as well as bass. I'd be interested to read below what YOU have caught on these (pictures would be great too!).

I know..I chintzed on the tails a bit, but they should work just fine.

Also...I tied these on #4 Streamer hooks. They are definitely large...but still no larger than a REAL mouse. Seems like they might work good smaller, too? How SMALL have you made these??

Great pattern for golden dorado in my area. On 3/0 hooks. Nice flying rat.

There was a photo going around about a year ago of a New Zealand brown trout in the 15lb class (that someone wacked) that had seven mice in its stomach.

    Dave:
What is your materials list or source for this pattern? I like it much better than other variations I've seen.

I used the pattern & instructions by Ross Purnell. Here's a link...but in case the link doesn't work, just search the 'net for "Morrish Mouse by Ross Purnell".
