    Default Deschutes salmon flies starting

Jeremy says they have started in the Middle river so it will get hot in a week or so. These bugs are 1 1/4-1 1/2" long with orange or yellow bodies. It is a REALLY BIG bite so the lunkers start looking UP instead of down for crawfish.

Interesting. I am 200 miles north of the D. I saw my first adult Salmon fly on the 9th of April and have been slaying them ever since with the Bear Back Rider. But,then again, I guess you guys are a little slow in Oregon since you can't even pump your own gas.

I'm heading up to Oregon in a couple of weeks for a two week vacation. I don't think I'll get to the "D", but will be trying the Rogue, Elk, and Klamath, as well as the Umpquas. Hope to have a good report soon.

Be ready to just sit back and listen to the music while they pump your gas.[G]
