I'm not sure about the Cortland muti-tips, but the Rio's are pretty nice. They're a good way of carrying different types of lines, without all the extra spools. The only thing i'm not real crazy about is the fact that they tend to "hinge" a bit at the handshake loop. In still water, that tends to be less of a problem, but in moving water it's more noticeable. If you find a problem with it, a peice of shrink tubing over the loops helps to minimize it.
