Thread: Same fishies !!

    Smile Same fishies !!

While fishing the run off on the Lochsa this summer, I ended up with some "documentation" on catching a couple of the same fish on two occasions.

There was one other fish that I caught a couple times but only have one picture of it. It was the most beat up cutthroat I saw all summer. Kind of felt bad even catching it one time, let alone twice.

I believe that I hooked up with another fish at least three times and probably a fourth over a period of about eight to ten days. It was the same take in the same place by a very large cutthroat and the way it reacted to the hook was exactly the same. Three times it threw the hook after a short tussle and one time it broke off.

Can't hardly wait for Run Off 2012 over there !!

You be careful with that Lochsa, it's a dangerous place to wade even when it's low - remember your broken finger.

C'mon John, we all know you have a few of them trained to hit your fly on otherwise fishless days. Nice looking fishies, Bud. Have you thought about making the trip over Lolo Pass to hit the Fish-In this fall? Dates are 17 to 24th of September. Sure like to see you there.

Great stuff! They're both big enough fish to have known better, must not have paid attention in school! Did they take the same fly both times?

Ive caught the same fish twice in one day. I was working upstream and caught a nice 16'' brown. Fishing my way back down i caught him again 10' away from the first time, at least he took a different fly.

In a river in NJ there was one hole where I have caught the same rainbow about 5-6 times in a row, every time I went there he was waiting.

Hard to believe a fish would hit two flies that look so much alike, especially when he's wearing one as a lip ornament. Great looking fish, John, and both flies look pretty darn good.
