Nice photos. You gotta love spring!
Spinner1;
Living in the woods, as I do, makes me very appriciative of the early spring bloom's. We're a little bit behind you here in North Central Michigan but it's starting.
Last weekend while walking along the Little Manistee I found myself looking at the emerging flora more that the stream!! Boy that would look good growing under my Pine's and Oak's! Should I dig one up? No! It belongs here!! Oh! That beer can doesn't belong, nor that sandwich bag, so I stop to pick them up and a Grouse flush's!
I almost forgot I came to fish!!

Don't forget the Michigan Fish-In August 14th to the 20th. The Holy Water's of the Au Sable await you!!

Hi Spinner1,
Beautiful photos! I spent a lot of time in southwest WI back in the 1980's when I was a Boy Scout.
Thanks for the photos,
Karl

Spinner1,
As a UW-Platteville grad (30+ years ago), I really enjoyed the fabulous scenery in the driftless area. Those pictures are great. I did a little fly fishing back then, but not much. Being in a high desert area now(Boise, ID) I miss the native greenery, but the mountains and deserts have their own beauty. I enjoy them all.

Yesterday, there were no flowers at my pond but today I went and they were all over the place. I even saw a carp eat one!
Those pictures are awesome!
Do you know what the last ones are? The blue in the shade?
blue bells
I think...
there is a close-up in same photo array.

Spinner,
I'm wondering if English Bluebells are different than your Bluebells. It looks like yours are Mertensia virginica (Virginia Bluebells) [url=http://www.plantphotography.com/bluebellsFB25.htm:8d437]http://www.plantphotography.com/bluebellsFB25.htm[/url:8d437]

They're beautiful though. They would probably hate living in my dry garden. The friendly folks are yarrows, columbines, asters, coneflowers, lupines...you get the idea.
I envy your backyard. I need to visit that area someday.
Regards,
Diane
