Wow Nice brown !

I used to live and fish for pinks around 5 to 7 lbs average , in the Queen Charlotte Islands . I hooked a pink and was bringing it in when the reel literally screamed as all the line tore off at an unstoppable rate . In just a few seconds all the line and backing was gone the tippet parted . The locals guys were rolling on the ground laughing . I just stood there kinda stunned , then about 200 yds or so out in from shore was a porpoise with my pink in its mouth . It started chittering at me . They do this for fun every once in a while , believe me the first time it happens to you it is a Heart stopper . They just eat the stomach and the roe out of the pinks and leave the rest which eventually attract dogfish which ruins the fishing for a day or two.
