Smithville Lake, MO - Carp on a Fly

Hey I saw a few threads regarding fishing for Carp up at Smithville Lake on the Fly. I'm looking to get up there and check it out myself. Not that familiar with the lake and access points, so I was looking for some local knowledge. I have been there once before playing golf and saw some monsters in the shallow water feeding. Looking to hunt them down (Sight fish). Any one out there that can help with some local knowledge would be greatly appreciated!!!

Try Longview lake. From KC it is a shorter drive than Smithville.

I live right at the Paradise Point Access and golf club. I know how to fish the dock pets. Toss a little chum chunk out the fly and hold on. Haven't been in a while but I could do it again for sure. I'm thinking it's getting time for another Carpapalooza! Steve P you in think there is anothe 16 pounder in your future?
