Finally got a day of and there and it didn't storm the night before. Rivers up here have been running fast and deep. By the time they calm down another storm blows em out. Headed to a nice little stream at Wolcott Mill Metro Park in SE MI and did a little wet wading. Managed about a dozen small smallmouth getting one on the first cast using a green over grey backstabber, a fly that has been a big producer this year. Also got a few rock bass and a bonus pike, threw the fly out to the apposing bank and as soon as it hit the water BAM! a pike grabbed it. Got it to shore and tried to snap a quick pic before i had to touch it and it got off. Snapped the pic before he swam away. Kinda looks like a UFO or a Bigfoot pic but its a pic just the same. Included are a couple pics of the stream itself which I have never seen anyone fishing there other than myself. Oh well, more for me.
