While I was down in Kodiak Riley managed to get out and do a little fly fishing... Actualy he only left Kodiak before me by several days and wasted little time in getting after some grayling a lot closer to home... He caught and released a 22" fish that was just huge! I caught one over 20" up where we went for lake trout and it was also an absolute monster... But I am thinking 2" makes for a lot of ground to cover!

Just thought a memory refresh was in order...

Ah,, memories!! Forever burnt into my mind. I can close my eyes and from memory go from the cast into the head of that pool.
See the fly kiss onto the water, the water boil and see my Alaska Trophy Grayling put a healthy lip lock on it. Fight!! one would have thought it was
a monster. Memories!! My ADF&G patch is here on my wall, above my computer where I can and do re-live my entire trip that you and your family made possible. Yes, 2" makes for a lot of ground to cover on a Grayling!

I think he ended up in the same place I did with no camera immediately at hand and a fish that had just been fought too hard because of their size relative to the tackle... Played out fish canno tbe toyed with for long... Though in both cases we could legally kill them. I will make sure and see about getting a picture up if it did happen.
