    Default Lake st clair 8-9-11

Finally got out for a bit today, overcast and had rained over night with somewhat calm winds. Havent been out and the rivers up here are blown out. Just as they clear up the next system comes through and kills it.
Hit Metro Beach today walking the shore on the south side of the point. Managed 5 LM on a big glow in the dark popper with a bunch of Bluelgill strikes. Went to the end, tied on a heavy backstabber and first cast got a nice smallmouth. Bet he jumped 4' in the air (awesome). on the way back I tied on a smaller popper with a bh hair ear dopper and managed 6 nice bluegill. Winds been picking up all morning and it was time to leave.

The evening pic was from a week ago when me and a buddy hot a couple canals for some night bass. This was the only bass but it was nice.

Hopefully get out again later today.
