No argument here Pittengrigh! However, I must tell you that if I put one of my flies over a recent rise, I normally catch that fish. So, although they are overdressed, they do catch the fish. One thing I firmly believe is that our hooks are overbuilt as well. I really think they could be of a finer wire which would assist in having a sparser dressing.................

A little more lightly dressed version. Would have used a few less fibers for the tails though. One thing though......... The dressing sometimes needs to also address the waters at hand. In larger Western rivers with rough water, a fly has to address buoyancy more than on a slick stretch of water.
