Thread: Carp on the fly

    Default Carp on the fly

So we went to Lake Vegas this weekend and I had a chance to toss flies, the lake was full, no wait, it was FULL of carp

I saw that and thought to myself "too easy" but fishing was not allowed from there so I had to go to another area of the lake. I saw a couple of carp eating from the top and tossed a hare's ear, a big carp moved towards the fly and in those seconds my heart raced...bam!! it lunched my fly. That was the easy part since I was standing on some rocks high above the water and I had no net or lip clips (is that what they're called?). Long story short I had to find a rock closer to the water and just pulled the fly off its lips.
I believe I can fly fish
