    Default Cicada emerging

    Well I got to see it again but this time I got it on camera to give some other folks who never actually seen it happen in person a chance to see the process in pictures... The emerging cicada started around 2200hrs and the process aint complete yet... Its nearly 0100hrs as of now... Ill post pictures later on photobucket because there are too many to put on here (over 20 pictures)... Its 0119hrs now and the last of the pictures took before it flew away... Pictures will be on in a day or 2...

    We don't have this bug on our side of the big pond, but I'm still looking forward to seeing this.

    Cheers,
    A.

    Hi Ivan;

    Did that bugs body darken up eventually? Ours are much darker in my neck of the woods, emerge kinda pale colored like the one you show but get darker in the am.

    Great photos, thanks for sharing!

    We have 2 different ones here... We have the pale green like whats in the last picture and the really dark ones... Most of them here are the dark ones so about 1 out of 10 darks are pale green...
