Nice of you to try to find the owner rainbow.

thus the reason to put your name on your fly boxes.

Yah, thanks! Ummm, it's a boxy looking thing, and it's got flies in it (to prove it's mine, I mean fishing flies, not the real ones)! Just drop it in the post to New Zealand. I'm sure it will find me. A mystery how it got over to you, but the current in the river did seem a bit strong the other day ...

Seriously though, good on ya' for trying. Hope you do track the owner down. A shame they don't have name and contact details in the box.

    Jeff,

That's exactly the kind of post that causes computer screens to become covered with coffee, coke and/or bourbon that has been expelled through the nose at a high rate of speed and believe me, bourbon through the nose is not a pleasant experience. Please try to be a little more careful with your future posts. 8T

I will be more careful with my posts if you either promise to be more careful with your bourbon or to share it with me pre-nasal aeration.

    Jeff and Gringo,
Tennessee and Kentucky is where we make the stuff. Of course, there are no fish in Tennessee, but we have some far-to-middling places to practice your casting. We won't even require a tribute of Cheez-Its, which I understand is common in Kansas.

You can forget that Cheez-It business around me! Black pepper flavored Spitz sunflower seeds and a cold brew made in St. Louis, Missouri for me, please! But I do hear tell that swamp witches like white cheddar Cheez-Its. (I was thinking about building a trap to catch one... whatchathink?)

    Rainbowchaser,

Yep, that sounds very much like the description of one I lost - except I lost my "flybox" along Spring Creek in Pennsylvania, and it was back in the early 70's - but who knows - is it blue, got little spring loaded compartments like a Wheatly with clips on the opposite side?? LOL!! Btw, I'm still hoping it shows up one day - some of my earliest tying is represented in that box - maybe someday!! This is very nice of you and typical of the folks that reside on this site!!

    Best regards, Dave S.
