graphite rod for a bamboo guy
I built this rod for a client who is a bamboo guy. It is a Sevier 9' 4pc 5wt. with garnet and copper wraps. Reel seat is a Batson B101 with juniper insert and matching winding check. The grip is a carbon fiber/ fiberglass hybrid in brown black weave with chrome SF guides. The story is that he is a neighbor and we have fished together some. He likes to come over and see what I am building and he has really been interested in the CF handles but thought it would be sacrilege on a boo. I then had him cast one of these and he said " I could live with one of these, build me one with that handle". I think that is a close as compliment a bamboo guy could give a graphite rod. Anyway here it is.
