    Default airflo polyfuse 7000

    Hello
Anyone uses this line? what can you tell me about it? I need a #5 line, DT floating, especially for fishing chub in Eastern Europe's rivers. You have to cast some 10 yards distance and need an allround, everyday fly line. is this it?
    Thanks

i want to use it only on rivers, so I guess that won't be a problem

    Hi there
    I purchased a wf4f approx 2 1/2 years ago,
and used it primarily for still water chironomiding. I found the line to be a great floater and very slick going thru the guides.
I must say I never noticed any kind of problem with recoils but I'm constantly adjusting for wind-drift anyway. ( The joys of belly-boating )

I just got some for my 8wt, it came highly recommended.

I fish with this line on two or three of my rods now and absolutely love it. Great slickness, clean shooting, excellent flotation, etc. I also REALLY like their Chalkstream Platinum, which is app. .5 line wt "heavy". These guys are rapidly becoming my favorite line company!

I have been using the Airflo lines for a few years now. I have the river and stream series on my 6wt and it works great. Floats very high and is slick.

Last year I put the new 40 plus line on my 8wt Sage XP. This line turned my rod into a cannon. It never felt with my regular 8 wt line like the rod was fully loaded. The 40 plus line has a heavier head for the new fast action rods and it works.

I will be only using Airflo from my experience so far.

BTW, I have been lurking here for ever it seems with only a few posts. I think its time to get more involved. This is a great site with a wealth of information.

I'm sorry but airflo floating lines are the worst I have tried.

They were giving the polyfuse away free in a british fly-fishing monthly magazine and now they are selling for 30 uk pounds (60 US dollars!)

Their sinkers are decent especially their delta taper which is a cheaper alternative to a TT. But I'd stay well clear of the floaters if I were you.

    Alcedo,

What troubles have you had or heard about with the floating lines?
