What is up with this gibberish? It's on several threads.

Why do members of FAOL post their fly patterns on the Fly Tying Board, instead of sending them in to FAOL for the "Fly Of The Week" articles?

It's a lot of work preparing a piece for the FOTW. You have to have detailed step-by-step instructions, with good pictures showing each step. Then it may be several months before it gets posted, if it gets used at all.

It's too much work if you are just trying to show off a fly that you tied last night. Usually what happens, is that someone will post a fly pic, then if everyone likes it enough, they will encourage the tier to submit it as a FOTW.

Just a thought, but it would be really cool if we had a way to send in a video FOTW.
